English Theater Apeldoorn will be at GIGANT’s Open Dag (open day) 2022 edition! You can come around to enjoy some fun activities we’ll have prepared for you, or just have a chat and ask any questions you have. No registration needed and everything is all for free.

How to find us?

• On September 10, from 12:00-16:00.
• At the stage “Walvis” – you walk up the stairs next to the reception desk and you will eventually see us on your left! If you feel lost, you can just ask the reception where to find “The Whale” 😉

EDIT: We will be in “Rog” (also another fish 😂🤷) and not “Walvis”. So, just a little further up the stairs.

Something special at 2pm!

We have come up with a fun theater challenge for you. With your team, you will be completing a series of theater related tasks. “Will they be difficult?”, “Will I make a fool out of myself?” we hear you ask. Well, they are meant to put a smile on everyone’s faces and they are suitable for everyone from 8 till 80 years old. So, we think you will be just fine. But they are challenges after all, so you may need to bring some of your creativity to complete them 🙂

What’s more, there is a nice prize for the most creative team!

What to expect?

• We will start at 2pm, so if you come 10min before it would be great. We will probably finish at 3-3:30pm.
• Ideally, we will form teams of 3 people. If you are on your own or with one other friend, no worries! Just come and we can match you with others.
• Theater isn’t only about acting. So if you think you are a terrible actor, not a problem, you may still come out as the winner.

Rest of the day

Apart from the fun challenge at 2pm-3:30pm, we will have a relatively chill day. You can come with your questions, or just say hi and meet us. You can also feel free to try out how being on stage feels like by reading parts from some scripts we will have with us. The doors will be open the whole time, so you may or may not have an audience too.
